Event Creation Approval Process for Students

  • Group Events

    • Group events require parental approvals from the organizing student and each guest student.

    • The organizing student creates a group event invite to send out to other students.

    • When the organizer sends an invite to a guest, it first is sent to the parents of the organizer. Any parent is able to Confirm or Decline the invite. If Confirmed, the invite is sent to all Guests added by the Organizer. If Declined, the organizer receives a message that his/her parent has declined the event.

    • Guests now may RSVP to the event. If a guest Confirms the invite, it will be sent to the guest’s parents for them to Confirm or Decline the invite. Once a guardian confirms, the event is added to the guest’s calendar.

  • Lesson Requests

    • Lesson Requests require parental approval from the Organizer before being sent to an Expert.

    • The organizer creates a lesson request invite to send to Experts.

    • When the organizer sends an invite to an Expert, it first is sent to parents to Confirm or Decline. Once a parent confirms the invite, it is sent to all Experts added by the Organizer.

  • Plan-It Booking Calendars

    • Organizers click “Send Plan” to send plan to invited contacts

      • After plan is sent, invited contacts view received Plan-Its by clicking “Received” tab

        • Pressing Open Plan will bring you to the Plan It information page.

        • Clicking View Slots allows invitees to directly book onto a Plan It Booking Calendar.

    • Once an invited guest books a slot, an Event notification is sent to the parents of the organizer to Confirm or Decline the event.

      • Once a parent confirms the event, the calendar event is added to all calendars.

  • Team Events

    • “Going” and “Not Going” to a Team Event

      • Clicking Teams, and then Team Schedule shows all upcoming events for each team.

      • Students and Parents are able to indicate “Going” and “Not Going” for any Team Event.

      • Parents are able to make final decisions on “Going” and “Not Going.”

        • For example, if a Student has marked Going, their parent is able to change that response to Not Going.

      • Once a Parent marks a response, the student is not allowed to change that response.

  • Personal Events

    • There is no parental approval process for personal events.
